Entertains Us · Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 11, 2026
1. Scope and who we are
Entertains Us is an entertainment discovery, booking, and management service operated by testXperience LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to entertains.us, its staging environment when used for authorized testing, and related services that link to this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect information according to the features you use:
- Account and identity information: name, email address, profile image, verified-email status, authentication provider, and provider-generated user identifier. We do not receive your Google password. For email/password accounts, Google Cloud Identity Platform processes the password; we do not store or verify it.
- Profile and authorization information: account status, roles, tenant or organization memberships, and preferences needed to provide the appropriate experience.
- Event and business information: public event, venue, entertainer, schedule, availability, and listing details supplied by users, organizations, public sources, or approved event-data providers.
- Requests and communications: information you submit in inquiries, booking requests, support messages, forms, or communications, including contact details and event requirements.
- Location information: a city, ZIP code, or device location when you choose to use location-based discovery. Browser-provided device coordinates are used to calculate nearby results and are not added to your account by the current discovery experience. A city or ZIP and resolved location may be stored locally on your device for convenience.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, requested pages, security events, diagnostic records, and similar information generated when the service operates.
- Local device data: essential session cookies, security tokens, PWA/service-worker data, and local-storage preferences such as discovery filters and saved search location.
3. How we collect information
We receive information directly from you; from Google or another identity provider when you choose that sign-in method; from entertainers, venues, event organizers, and authorized platform users; from approved public or commercial event sources; and automatically from browsers, devices, hosting, security, and logging systems.
4. How we use information
- Authenticate accounts, maintain sessions, verify email addresses, recover access, and enforce roles and permissions.
- Provide event discovery, location-based results, profiles, availability, inquiries, booking workflows, and requested communications.
- Import, normalize, verify, update, and deduplicate event listings.
- Protect users and the service, prevent abuse and fraud, investigate incidents, enforce our Terms, and maintain audit records.
- Operate, troubleshoot, measure, and improve accessibility, reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Google account information
When you use “Continue with Google,” we request basic identity information needed for sign-in, such as your name, email address, profile image, verified-email status, and a Google-generated account identifier. Entertains Us does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, your contacts, or unrelated Google services as part of basic sign-in.
We use Google account information only to authenticate you, create or maintain your Entertains Us account, display your profile, protect the service, and provide features you request. We do not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or allow humans to read it except when necessary for security, support, legal compliance, or with your permission. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
6. When we disclose information
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary:
- Service providers: hosting, authentication, database, storage, monitoring, security, communications, and other vendors processing information under our direction. Current core infrastructure includes Google Cloud/Firebase and Neon-hosted PostgreSQL.
- Booking participants: relevant information may be shared with the entertainer, venue, organizer, requester, or authorized representatives when you initiate or manage an inquiry or booking.
- Public listings: information intentionally submitted for a public entertainer, venue, or event profile may be displayed publicly.
- Legal and safety purposes: when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the service.
- Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide legally required choices before doing so.
7. Cookies, local storage, and installed web-app data
We use essential cookies and browser storage for sign-in security, session management, CSRF protection, preferences, PWA installation and updates, and reliable operation. The current service does not use these technologies for third-party behavioral advertising. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser, but doing so may sign you out, reset preferences, or remove the installed web app’s cached resources.
8. Location choices
Device location is optional and requires browser or operating-system permission. You can deny or revoke that permission and enter a city or ZIP instead. Location results are approximate, and the service may exclude events without verified coordinates. Your browser and device control location permissions.
9. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and booking records, meet security and audit needs, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention varies by data type and context. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to backups, fraud prevention, legal holds, and other lawful requirements.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections, environment separation, restricted service identities, audit logging, and managed authentication. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and privacy rights
- Review and update available account or profile information.
- Control browser location permission, cookies, local storage, and installed-app data.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, subject to identity verification and lawful exceptions.
- Object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable.
- Appeal a privacy-request decision where applicable and contact the relevant privacy regulator.
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain information about disclosures of personal information, and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently offer a “Do Not Sell or Share” mechanism. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law.
To make a privacy or account-deletion request, email tom.wellner@testxperience.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request.
12. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
13. International processing
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised policy with a new “last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
